Shards of a Legacy – SWBTF #85

Two Emperors, Imperial Knights, Noobs, sleeping with the Jedi, and more, all on the next Star Wars Beyond the Films. YOUR Star Wars discussion podcast! YOUR ticket to the EU!

This week true believers, Beyonders, Fanboys, Fangirls, respected aliens around the galaxy, The Defender of the EU; Mark Hurliman, and your EU Guru; Nathan P. Butler, sit down to discuss Dark Horse Comics Star Wars: Legacy: Shards. (Legacy: Vol 2) (Not to be confused with the second volume of Legacy currently running) Strap in and tighten your crash webbing Fandom, Star Wars Beyond the Films is setting off on another rapid-fire trip into the galaxy far, far away!

Jumping in Nathan talks about the Del Rey Sampler from SDCC and Celebration Europe. They also discussed is Insider stories should be collected like Lost Bribe of the Sith and the Tales of books? The short talk of Insider has them curious if those fans who dropped Insider vowing they will not go back- would an anthology book would be of interest to them? Enough to bring back their business?

Mark points out that the cover for this Trade Paperback is actually the single issue cover from Issue #7 from the Broken arc… He also points out that Emperor Fel’s Saber is SILVER- only his daughters is blue. Which is note worthy since all the Imperial Knights have silver blades as well.

When they reach Noob, Mark discusses the Mandalorian angle briefly. And why he enjoys Karr’s story.

They discuss Addictions, K’Kruhk, as well as Legacies in this one.

So, once again, your dynamic duo cover entirely too much shattered Legacy Action in their ONE hour, but don’t worry, give it a go; you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you might even get a little education on the EU while you’re at it. But no matter how you slice it and dice it, you’ll be having another adventure Beyond the Films. So sit back, hang on, enjoy the show, and may the Force be with you!
