Every second Wednesday of the new month, I will publish a roundup that gathers the most prominent news related to Star Wars toys and merchandise, from figures to fashion. My goal is to catch you up to speed and bring to you whatever you might have missed the previous month. I know what it’s like to fall behind, so my roundups here at Star Wars Report will be your reliable source to make sure you’re on the same page as everyone else.
First up, February 14-17 is going to be a big weekend in New York City with the NY Toy Fair in town. Stay tuned for reports and updates here at Star Wars Report, since I will be attending the event as a member of press. In the meantime, check out 4lomkuss.com’s “NY Toy Fair ’15 — What to Expect” and Jedi News‘ LEGO update at UK Toy Fair.
New Fashion Items Inspired By Star Wars
Ashley Eckstein’s Her Universe recently added a new item to the Star Wars clothing collection. The Imperial Love Hoodie is both soft and comfortable. According to its description, “This top has more of a uni-sex fit. If you want this top to be fitted, go down one size. If you want it a bit loose, order your regular size.” As with any article of clothing, make sure to measure yourself properly and follow the sizing chart in order avoid mistakes. The Imperial Love Hoodie is priced at $40.00, and for a limited time, get the light side/dark side Hoodie Bundle for $65.
You can’t leave home without a good bag to keep your belongings. Loungefly has new items for sale for the Star Wars brand, including the R2-D2 Blue/White/Silver Patent Dome Bag (pictured on the left, $60) and R2-D2/C-3PO/Stormtrooper/Boba Fett faux leather coin bags (each priced at $20).
Loungefly also has affordable bags for other brands, such as Disney and Hello Kitty. Act now and you can get a free gift with every purchase while supplies last. Follow them on Twitter and Facebook, take a picture of your Star Wars bag, and maybe it’ll show up on social media!

Dorkside Toys also has the Funko POP! Star Wars Vaulted Jedi Luke Skywalker Figure available for pre-order.
“In celebration of the new movie, we will be re-releasing one previously vaulted Star Wars Pop per month until the new items release this fall. These will come in special edition packaging that distinguishes them from the original items.”
Priced at $9.99, the estimated arrival date for the figure is April 2015.
Make sure to place your pre-order on the Star Wars: The Black Series 6-inch Wave 7 set. This particular set includes a TIE Fighter Pilot, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper Han Solo, and Bossk.
Visit Yakface.com for a breakdown of Wave 7 and Wave 8.
The Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot Sixth Scale Figure by Sideshow Collectibles is currently available for pre-order.
“Emblazoned with stark white Imperial insignia, the pilot wears his unmistakable streamlined helmet, and glossy black armor fitted over a pristine standard-issue flight suit. Interchangeable wrist gauntlets allow dexterity for handling TIE Fighter controls, and positive gravity pressure boots keep him grounded in all situations.”
It comes equipped with a Blaster Pistol, a Blastech E-11 Rifle, a holster, and six different gloved hands.
Priced at $199.99, the item has an estimated shipping date set between November and December 2015.
Adding to the growing list of products that are now available for pre-order is the ANOVOS AT-AT Driver Ensemble.
“Suit features everything you will need to start serving the Empire, with exception of the undergarments, socks and footwear, which you are to provide at your own discretion… The Empire will provide the AT-AT, and the Rebel scum will provide the targets of opportunity.”
Visit ANOVOS for more information.
Coming in April 2015 is the Star Wars Darth Vader Fabrikations Plush Figure.
“A Darth Vader plush to rule over all other plush! This Star Wars Darth Vader Fabrikations Plush Figure features the Dark Lord of the Sith as a plush that can stand up and measures over 6-inches tall. He’s even got a rotating head and lightsaber!”
Finally, the pre-order for the Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back Darth Vader Egg Attack Statue is also available at Entertainment Earth.
“Beast Kingdom Toys is proud to present their first 8-inch Egg Attack Statue . . . This collectible statue is constructed with compound material and painted with expert technique, perfectly representing the texture of Darth Vader’s armor and clothing . . . This amazing statue also has built-in dual-speed breathing sound effects officially licensed by LucasArts . . .”
The statue is priced at $174. 99.
New Toy Announcements and Updates
“Hasbro saw enough success with their IP-connected Hero Masher lines that they’ll be introducing toys from this year’s hottest films and franchises,” wrote Forbes in an exclusive article back in January.
“[They’ll be] adding Jurassic World and Star Wars: Rebels to the Hero Mashers universe as well as expanding the Marvel Heroes with Mashers from Disney’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
Toy Wars announced in late January that they will be selling an exclusive Holographic Emperor Palpatine Pop! Vinyl Bobble Head. It measures around 3 3/4 inches and it glows in the dark.
“A cool recreation of a character that has become a symbol of evil and deception in pop culture, this figure makes a great collectible for Star Wars fans.”

As a Star Wars Celebration Anaheim exclusive, Kotobukiya announced the ARTFX+ R3-A2 & K-3PO statues.
“R3-A2 stands nearly 4 inches tall in 1/10th scale, includes alternate pieces allowing for display standing upright on two legs or inclined on all three, and comes with a special collector’s coin featuring the logo of Industrial Automation, the manufacturers of Astromech Droids. K-3PO stands over six inches tall, his white metal casing showing damage from a previous engagement. Both Droids feature magnets in their feet for extra stability on the included base, and assemble in seconds with the ARTFX+ line’s easy, snap-fit assembly.”
Read more about the announcement and pre-ordering it over at Kotobukiya’s Facebook.
Revoltech revealed a 6-inch Boba Fett at Japan’s Winter Wonder Festival. Their figures have a wide range of motion and stability, allowing toy owners to create various dynamic poses.
FLYGUY brings us this latest report, “Whilst these are unpainted, they could just as well be a blue shot protoype and white prototype Boba Fett. (Maybe expect that as a future release!) 5400 YEN is approx $46 USD so a fair price when compared to the recent Revoltech releases.”
Last month, Dorkside Toys added Star Wars Revo 4-inch Japanese R2-D2 action figure and 6-inch Imperial Stormtrooper action figure as pre-orders.
According to RocketNews24, “Japanese toy maker Takara Tomy has just released four brand spanking new toys from the Star Wars universe. Hoping to get collectors in the mood, these four iconic spaceships might just whet your appetite for more Star Wars goodies come Episode VII.”

Kotobukiya adds new pocket sandwich shapers, featuring Darth Vader, R2-D2, and a stormtrooper. The product also includes stencil plates for decoration.
“Use these unique kits to make pouch-style sandwiches with the familiar designs stamped into the bread, or cut off the edges and make Star Wars shaped snacks.”
Jedi Temple Archives recently received new images for the figures included in the Saga Legends/Rebels line.
New figures include SL25 Commander Bly, SL26 Han Solo (Endor), SL27 Luke Skywalker (Endor) and SL28 Princess Leia (Endor). The images also include Hera Syndulla, a highly anticipated figure, especially given her lack of presence in other Star Wars Rebels merchandise. (via Yakface.com)
New Merchandise On The Market
According to Yakface.com, the Yoda Eachez went on sale towards the end of January.
“It has an edition size of 2500 pieces, 250 of which are chase ‘Spirit of Yoda’ pieces. These are available for $16.95 at D-Street stores in CA and FL – while supplies last.”
Other News Items And Information Of Interest
Hasbro recently released a downloadable two-sided poster with Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends, Mission Series, Hero Series, and other content (via Jedi Temple Archives). The poster was first seen at San Diego Comic-Con 2014, so it’s a shame that most of the figures haven’t appeared on the shelves, like Sabine and Hera. As previously mentioned in a past roundup, the reason for the lack of merchandise is port congestion on the west coast.
Jedi Temple Archives also shared a full size digital poster of Kenner Star Wars Action Figures for the collectors looking to own a copy.
As a result of Hasbro’s lack of attention to characters from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars era, Star Wars fan Ben C. created a custom figure of Ahsoka Tano in her slave outfit from the Slaves of the Republic arc. I’m surprised Hasbro didn’t take advantage of the design when the figures were more popular.
