Greg Weisman’s Kickstarter Project for “Rain of the Ghosts”

Rain_of_the_Ghosts_coverWe all love Star Wars because it takes our imaginations far and beyond into the unknown, but what about the stories that take place in our own world? There’s one tale set on a fictional island in the Caribbean that is special to me and others seeking diversity in books. Written by the extraordinary storyteller Greg Weisman (Star Wars Rebels, Young Justice, Gargoyles), Rain of the Ghosts is everything I wanted as a child–a young girl from the Caribbean with supernatural abilities rooted in her indigenous ancestry. How awesome is that?!

It’s a book aimed for the younger crowd, but it’s also one that appeals to adults, especially fans of Star Wars. The book is currently available for purchase on Amazon along with its sequel, but if you’re looking for an audio book, you might be in luck!

Greg and a team of talented actors and composers have recorded the AudioPlay for the first novel in the nine-book series! You can hear some of your favorite voice actors, such as Steve Blum, Jim Cummings, Marina Sirtis, Vanessa Marshall, and many more, voicing an awesome ensemble of characters.

Everything is recorded, but we need your help!

In order to edit everything down and make a quality piece of work for the fans, Greg and the team need your support in their Kickstarter project. Whether it’s a small or generous amount, anything will help in order to get this project rolling. If you’re unable to provide donations at this time, that’s okay! Instead, please share this information with a friend, tweet it out to your followers, or share it on Facebook. Anything to help spread the word!
