I agree 100% with the need to nail down concrete chronology. I grew up at a time when there was a timeline giving concrete months for events in Clone Wars comics and novels. And when the 2008 TV series came out and pushed Anakin’s knighthood to the first year of the war, that pushed a huge chunk of stories (which seemed canon at the time) much earlier, and I wondered which specific months they were now. There was an announcement that the Clone Wars timeline would not be modified until the series was over, but as we know, that never happened! We have no idea which specific months each episode takes place! And it was even worse for me when they killed off characters like Evan Piell and Adi Gallia despite their deaths already having been documented in the EU. Now, The Clone Wars TV show is pretty much a separate timeline from the pre-ROTS release comics and novels in which Anakin is knighted six months before ROTS. And despite the show now being free of the continuity of those novels and comics, I STILL wanna know what months and what years the episodes take place! And though I am clear about the chronological reading order for post-ANH stories (Princess Leia and Smuggler’s Run taking place simultaneously, then Heir to the Jedi, then The Weapon of the Jedi, then the Star Wars and Darth Vader comics taking place simultaneously) I still wanna know PRECISELY how long after the movie these stories take place! Lost Stars was able to do it, and these other books should do it as well!
