I had the pleasure of seeing the Galaxy of Sories exibit at D23 – complete with this incredible scale model of (Star Wars Land) Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. (Brought to you by Samsung?)
Before you jump in – the pictures really can’t do it justice. It’s Beautiful.
I have to confess, earlier on when I heard that ‘Star Wars land would be its own original location instead of using any of the iconic locations from the films, I was a bit disappointed. However, after seeing Galaxy of Stories, you can tell they are going for a more immersive and ambitious experience.
My take? Instead of a series of different rides/experiences from a list of different Star Wars movie locations, this is a mission to create a singular experience where you’re “in” the Star Wars Universe. This site right in the news of the creation of an immersive almost Westworld style Star Wars Hotel where guests can stay in the Star Wars Galaxy even after finishing their day in the park.
